What a guest does
A guest sits down and sees a stand or a tile. They hold their phone against it, and your page opens in the phone's browser. There is no account, no sign-up and no app store.
Exactly what happens on screen depends on the phone. iPhones show a small prompt first, and the guest taps that. Android's documentation says Android 17 does the same. The page on iPhone and Android has the detail.
What a tap opens
One page for your venue, with the things guests usually ask staff for:
- your menu
- a place to leave a review
- the Wi-Fi name and password
- a booking link, or another link you choose
Each button opens a link you choose, like the menu or booking page you already use. A café can put its menu first. A salon can put its booking link first. The page shows the Wi-Fi details so guests can type them in. It does not connect them for you.
The two pieces
| Piece | Where it goes | How guests use it |
|---|---|---|
| Counter stand | By the till. A small black stand that says TAP HERE. | Tap with NFC, or scan its QR code. |
| Table tile | On each table. About 1.1 mm thin, with a sticky back. | Tap only. It has no QR code. |
Both open the same page. If you are wondering why the stand carries a QR code as well, NFC or QR explains it.
Where things stand today
Kyvo is launching in Dubai. We have not announced a date, so the waitlist is the way to hear first. The first stand goes to one venue, free.
If you join, we keep your email, and your venue type if you tap one, with Formspree, the service that runs the list, and we only write to you about Kyvo. Ask us to delete your details at any time.
Other companies called Kyvo
Other companies use the name Kyvo, including in software and finance. We are not connected to any of them. This Kyvo is the one at kyvo.ae: NFC stands and tiles for venues in Dubai.
If you heard the name and searched for Kivo with an i, you are in the right place. We spell it K-Y-V-O.
